"Despite the Union, We Delivered.."

It was a bit tense before the show that afternoon. When we got to the Flint Theater, the instruments were not set up. It took a whole three hours to get it sounding. The bad news was it ate up the time we needed for a decent sound check. Oh well.

We had vowed to have a lot of new stuff for our audience at the Flint Theater on the night of Nov. 5, 2005 since we knew that a sizeable portion of them had just seen us at Cache Creek Casino just a few months back. We wanted to give them a dose of the 'APO Experience' which to us means delivering 'surprise and delight ' through songs and humnor to our audience each time.

We came in after a few local acts, and the very inspired performances of Bituin Escalante and Aiza Seguerra. It was a warm audience that greeted us. We were enjoying ourselves while we were doing material that we were performing for the first time in this tour. We were quite concentrated and focused. But while the show was going on though, we were getting signals from management by the side of the stage to finish before 11PM since the union that ran the theater were quite strict, and frankly, not very helpful in making the artists and performers feel at home. We found ourselves cutting material as we were going on to make sure we would finish on time and avoid a hefty fine.

Luckily, our years of performing were paying off. We did not panic and we knew what to do to shorten things without having to compromise the show. We vowed that the audience would not be shortchanged despite the unfortunate circumstances. We finished the show amid applause and a standing ovatrion at 5 to 11PM, but sadly were not able to do an encore.

Just the same it was a GREAT experience for us to be with old friends, new friends and virgins who made us feel right at home. We love you guys.
