California Bling-blings APO!

Despite the residue chill of winter still in the air, California welcomed APO and the troupe with sunshine warmth and hospitality. San Diego was friendly and welcoming but LA was all that plus some bling-bling! The producers, the Santillian family had the APO parading in a bright Yellow Hummer as they visited stores that had posters twice as big as life size. The press conference was bigger than the usual and very well attended with about 60 people showing up. And if that wasn’t spectacular enough, Danny was gifted a ringside seat to the Lakers game by one of the sponsors of the concerts.

And then there were the shows! And how! Local talents Marilyn Batino, and Rose Castorillo started the show with Rex Navarette and Jon Santos serving generous doses of laughter to intermission. Then it was the APO!

By APO’s own account, they felt that they delivered a show a few notches higher than their usual. The Three and Only were in top form eliciting lusty applause and boisterous laughter. Danny, Jim and Boboy managed to raise quite a few goose bumps with their songs and sgimmicks as they gave the best entertainment the audiences in LA and San Diego had ever seen. The San Diego Pinoys returned the favor by giving APO a standing ovation at the end of the show last May 20, while LA, true to form, honored The Three with an SRO and numerous standing ovations

APO mingled with sponsors and producers and gamely posed for pictures and signed autographs after the show. This continued till the wee hours of the morning at the Radisson were the after concert party was held. Jim summed it up when he shouted a loud “I love LA” in the middle and end of the shows.
